Amory's 2022-2023 Drama Production!

Are you panthers ready for this year’s production? For the 2022-2023 school year the drama department will be presenting Grease! Now I bet some people read that and had no idea what Grease even was, but don’t worry I’m here to tell you about it.

Grease is a classic musical love story that takes place in 1959 California at Rydell High. Danny Zucko and Sandy Olsson are the main interest in this story. Danny is a part of the T-birds, joined by Kenickie, Sonny, Putzie, and Doody. The other gang is the Pink Ladies, which Sandy becomes a part of when she moves there. The rest of the Pink Ladies are Rizzo, Frenchie, Marty, and Jan.

This year Danny Zucko will be played by Elijah Spratt, and Sandy Olsson will be played by Marley Rowland. The T-Birds will be played by Keith Byars as Kenikie, Jurdan May as Doody, Cooper Blalock as Roger, Nathaniel Walker as Sonny, and the addition of Daelyn Latham as Kenny. The Pink Ladies will be played by Treasure Ford as Rizzo, Shaylee Weeks as Frenchie, McKenzie Thompson as Marty, and Maile Wilson as Jan. The rest of the cast will consists of Ana Grace McGonagil as Cheerleader Patty, ShaNiysia Hudson as Cha Cha, Sam Black as Johnny Casino, Jurdan May as Teen Angel, and Gracelyn Johnson as Ms. Lynch.

Students are going to be devoting tireless hours and dedication to prepare for the production of Grease. It’s plan is to be presenting sometime after Spring break, so make sure to mark your calendars. This will be one for the books!
