Chick-Fil-A: A Yay or Nay?

I’m pretty sure by now everyone has heard of Chick-Fil-A, or at least has seen one around where they live. As their customers have deemed their chicken, “God’s Chicken,” you’d have to assume that their food is quite literally “heavenly” in taste. This is why I’m writing this at this moment–to test their chicken items and see if they live up to the test of being “God’s Chicken.”

But before the chicken is tasted, let's see if their food is made in a restaurant even Gordon Ramsey would approve.

First, I must say I am satisfied with the cleanliness of the whole establishment, and there were no bugs (which is scarily common in regular fast food restaurants). The true test was the public bathroom. It was also cleaned very well, way better than some other restaurants. The smell wasn’t bad either. Nice, clean, evidence of a well-kept restaurant.

The last test for approval is customer service and how fast the food is served. Chick-Fil-A keeps surprising me, as the customer service was great, and the food was served shortly after ordering. Nothing to worry about there!

I got the chicken nuggets and fries. At first, when I tasted the chicken, I felt like I was about to ascend. Yes, Chick-Fil-A actually seemed to hold up to its own standard of being the best fast food chicken. Now, we try the waffle fries. Almost exactly like the chicken nuggets–beautifully crisped with just a smidge of ketchup added.

I would definitely recommend the nuggets and the fries, especially if you’re looking for a more unique shape in nuggets. Chick-Fil-A’s nuggets are more of a freeform shape, usually spherical though. This makes it way easier to eat and swallow than any other sort of chicken nugget.

Let’s move on to the next item on my menu that I'd like to try: Chick-Fil-A’s staple, the chicken sandwich.

Frankly, the sandwich was superb, and the chicken was cooked just like the chicken nuggets. It tastes like real chicken, not like any other chicken in the fast food world (which, in my opinion, might be radioactive). My food was warm and fresh, reminiscent of my mom giving me warm hugs. This is probably the first time I've felt real passion for a fast food item. “Chick-Fil-A was always one of my favorite chicken places, and I totally believe that I could eat there forever,” said one of my friends over at Amory High School.

My only complaint is that the food is quite expensive. Many can agree that even though the food itself is delicious, the price isn’t too pretty. One student at AHS says, “I have to pay so much just for something quick. If I wanted something cheaper, I could just go to McDonald’s.” And yes, I agree. Especially in this little town of Amory, where we have a food truck that comes by every other Tuesday.

In conclusion, the chicken definitely lives up to its name and self-proclaimed title of “God’s Chicken.” I can now say with confidence that Chick-Fil-A’s restaurant is a place of solace, for those people looking for a delicious and sanitary fast food place. Of course, at the end of it all, I rate Chick-Fil-A a solid ten out of ten in taste, customer service, and cleanliness.

I highly recommend it if you have never gone to one before. Overall, a great experience, and I would visit again!
