Halloween

During this time of the year, homes fill with pumpkins, skeletons, and tons of candy. Kids go door to door and trunk to trunk, dressed in their favorite costumes collecting candy. People may enjoy the entertainment of scary movies or even haunted houses. This is the one time of the year when people jump at the idea of letting loose and having fun.

This scary holiday came from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. They would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off the ghost. In the present time, everyone dresses as their favorite things. Traditions of this time of year include trick or treating, haunted houses, dressing up, and pumpkin picking. Families come together to carve their pumpkins to whatever their hearts desire and separate their candies.
